Custom Cryogenic Piping System

Custom cryogenic piping system for cryogenic liquid applications

Liquid loss due to heat transfer is the biggest problem when transferring cryogenic liquids. CONCOA designs and manufactures custom cryogenic piping systems constructed from vacuum-insulated rigid pipes with multi-layer insulation and getter materials to maintain high thermal efficiency for low heat leaks. A custom designed cryogenic piping system utilizes a variety of optional bayonet assemblies, pipe threads, compression, and end fittings to meet customer specifications and provide the most efficient and economical transfer of cryogenic liquids.

  • Vacuum insulated rigid 304 stainless steel pipe prevents radiant and convective heat transfer
  • 1x10⁻⁶ mm Hg annular vacuum ensures leak integrity
  • SV-9 vacuum pump-out port prevents extra pressure in piping or system
  • Radiation shielding and getters assure high thermal efficiency and a long life vacuum
  • Custom manifold permits manual or actuated valves to be incorporated based on system requirements
  • Optional tees, elbows, flexible connectors, and assemblies to fit pipe to the manifold supports system expansion
  • Working pressure: 55 PSIG (4 BAR)
  • Manifold connection: 1/2 in CGA 295 female swivel manifold connection
  • Connections: 1/2 in (13 mm) FNPT or 1/2 in (13 mm) CGA 295 male @ each station inlet
  • Outer pipe: 2 in (51 mm)
  • Inner tubing: 1/2 in (13 mm) ID
  • Heat leak: 0.32 BTU per hour per foot (1.1 J per hour per mm)
